About WebCalculus

Who we are

WebCalculus is an independent project built by a small team of developers and tradespeople who got tired of hunting for decent free calculators online. We cover construction, electrical, finance, pets, health, general math and gardening — 42 tools and counting.

We built the site ourselves, write all the tool explanations and FAQs from hands-on experience, and keep everything updated when standards change (like NEC code revisions or updated livestock formulas). If a tool gives you a wrong answer, we want to know — and we fix it.

Why we built it

The best tools online are often buried behind paywalls, cluttered with ads, or require you to create an account to see a simple number. We think that's unnecessary. A stair calculator should just calculate stairs.

All calculations run entirely in your browser — no data is sent to any server. We don't collect, store or sell any information about you. No cookies beyond the dark-mode preference you set. No tracking pixels.

Our approach to accuracy

Every calculator is built against real-world references: the International Residential Code for construction tools, NEC tables for electrical tools, USDA feeding guidelines for pet tools, and peer-reviewed formulas for health tools. Each tool page includes the formula we use, worked examples, and a reference table so you can sanity-check the result.
